Every day TV presents us with numerous worthwhile programs to satisfy our different needs and tastes. For example, the children’s program is the good friend of children; the sports one is enjoyed by young people. As far as I am concerned, the program I like best is the news, especially the Evening Newscast Program which is shown by CCTV every evening.

There are mainly three reasons for my liking the program. The primary one is that it brings into our living rooms what is going on many miles away (at home and abroad). Within 30 minutes in front of the TV set, I am widely and promptly informed about things ranging from important domestic events, the latest developments in industry and agriculture to the current international situation. In addition, I like it also because it offers me not only lively voices but colorful scenes.  Watching it is far more vivid and stimulating than reading about the same things in a newspaper.  The third reason lies in its quickness. TV news programs often reveal to us events as they happen in other areas while any other news media cannot enjoy this advantage, lacking either in vividness or in timeliness.

I like this program most not only because of its abundant and latest news, but also because of its analysis and prospects of the present-day world. Every scene on the screen keeps me up-to-date and some of them will leave an enduring impression on my life.

电视每天都为我们提供大量的值得观看的节目，以满足不同的需要和爱好。例如，儿童节目成了孩子们的朋友，而体育节目则为青年人所喜欢。对我来说，我最喜欢的节目是新闻，尤其是每天晚上由中央电视台播放的晚间新闻节目。

我之所以喜欢这个节目主要有三个原因。首要的原因是它能把国内外发生的一切带入我们的房间。坐在电视机前的30分钟时间里，我就可以广泛迅速地获取从重大的国内事件、工农业上的最新发展到最新的国际形势等信息。除此之外，它不仅能提供艳丽的画面还能提供动听的声音。观看这个节目远比读报纸上的同类新闻生动并刺激得多。第三个原因在于它的迅速。电视新闻节目经常展现在我们面前的是在别的地方同时发生的事情，而其他新闻媒体则无法享有这种优势，要么不生动，要么缺乏时效性。
