我和无数
不能孵化的卵石
垒在一起

蓝色的河溪爬来
把我们吞没
又悄悄吐出

没有别的
只希望草能够延长
它的影子

No country for old men
[ 2008-4-2 23:04:00 | By: Wynona ]

No Country for Old Men was the winner of the Best Picture Oscar and rightly so.

Set in 1980, when a retired Vietnam war Vet comes across a drug deal gone wrong and $2 million, he sets off a chain of events that draws the aging policeman Sheriff Bell into a manhunt that seems to have no end.

Okay, the only thing I need to say about the story is this: IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING. Incredible story with actors that embodied each character in an intensely believable way. The story deep and thought provoking exploring the dark side of human ambition and the senseless irrationality behind violence.  It comes alive, mesmerizing the audience with terrifying suspense, violence and scathing black humor, as well as characters they feel a genuine emotional connection to, The film also meld the wild west with modern cat-and-mouse crime myesteries.

The film's visual effects are to be envied by many other films of its type. With no music, the directors force the viewer to take stock of every single detail. The special effects were incredible and extremely detailed. Great movie.

But its not just the directing and cinematography that's superb, it's also the performances from Brolin, Bardem and Jones that make this film brilliant.

All in all, it was amazing. It's a movie that makes you think and leaves you with an impression you will not soon forget.
